Special recognition for our 2009-2010 season, like last season, will not be awarded to an individual player, but instead, to each and every member of

We all knew going into this season what we had waging against us. We rose above everything thrown our way and proved that we were who we said we were all along!

First, we must recognize our OUTSTANDING, UNSTOPPABLE DEFENSE and KEEPER!! Only allowing 4 goals ALL season, was amazing, and unheard of. Mia's leadership, and dedication, not to mention her all together sick skills in the net, motivated and inspired her teammates! Martina, our sweeper, was Mia's strength, and our last line of defense, she stopped at nothing to protect Mia and our net. Adrienne, Marissa, and Erykah played their defensive positions like no others. Not only did they protect our net, and perfectly place the ball exactly where needed, but also on occasion seized a rare opportunity to score as defenders!!

Second, our midfielders...Cierra, Bella, and Ashley! The brains behind the machine!! They made decisions beyond their years all season long. In a second they had to decide to drop, feed, take a shot, or cover for a defender who saw an opportunity to advance forward. Our midfielders dictated what our team did on the field and each of them deserve credit for assisting EVERY goal scored. The beauty of our Midfielders was all season "They Just Knew"! They just knew where their teammates were, or they just knew where their teammates wanted them to be...

Third, our tiny, little, lightning fast, STRIKERS!!! Alise, Marcella, and Cassidy!! Also known as Spunky, Marcheesy, and Tic-Tac!! It's tough to say a lot about these girls because it was hard to actually see them. They were super-fast, and major T-R-O-U-B-L-E for the other teams. They were marked, double teamed, some defenders even tried to "remove" them from the game, but to no avail, these girls were small but mighty! It was on them to score! score! score!, and that they did!!
Cassidy- 15 Goals, Marcella 10 Goals, Alise 7 Goals!!

A special thanks to Julia, who played hard when needed, and where needed. She has made a place for herself on this team, and has grown and learned so much in her first season with us! She had numerous feeds from the midfield position, and some seriously great runs when playing forward, she fought hard, and showed her heart and effort are only a couple of the great things she has to offer her teammates!
